Ear Candling has been around for centuries and originated in ancient civilizations such as China, India and Egypt and is now practiced world-wide. An ear candle is a long hollow tube made of 100% beeswax and unbleached muslin, tapered to a hand finished tip that fits comfortably into your ear. The large end of the candle is lit and the smoke created spirals down through your ear canal. The warmth of the smoke softens and gently dislodges old ear wax and foreign debris and helps to evaporate excess moisture. This is believed to relieve earache pain, provide relief from the pressure in the sinuses and allow the ear to naturally push out the old ear wax and debris improving hearing ability.
The ear candling process is also believed to detoxify the lymphatic system and clear the sinuses, which can also improve the clarity of hearing, sight, smell and taste. More subtle changes may occur on an energy level resulting in an overall sense of well-being. Ear candling is a peaceful, relaxing and pleasant experience.
Ear Candling is contraindicated in people who have had a recent ear, nose, throat or sinus infection/inflamation, surgery or experience any bleeding or have tubes in their ears.
